IMG-20170602-WA0000

A very enthusiastic HERD Pharmacy marketing team is geared up to deliver as promised at the three-days ‘Maha Bachat Mela’ or Huge Saving Event organized at Khamla for June 9-10-11, 2017. The medical store will have on offer medicated cosmetics and general health products at discounted prices to build up its customer base. Khamla Pharmacy was set up only recently and this is a tried and tested marketing strategy being executed by the experienced team.

The good thing about the HERD Pharmacy team is that the pitch includes everyone – from top level Operations Head to Managers, Communication-designers, Market-campaigners, Event coordinators, and Marketing-specialists along with pharmacy staff. Everyone joins in responsibly to highlight the brand image of the establishment. And what makes HERD Pharmacy stand out from regular pharmacies is the fact that it is affiliated to a large hospital.

This allows health issues of patients requiring more care and expertise to be directly referred to the hospital. In fact the Maha Mela is also conducting a free general health check-up for interested people who walk into the pharmacy during these three days. The team has arranged for experienced doctors and nurses from Lata Mangeshkar Hospital to undertake check-ups. Other than create awareness in the area the point HERD Pharmacy is making is that this is a specialty pharmacy that goes beyond merely responding to prescriptions.

It’s been only days that the Khamla pharmacy was set up and the team has now roped in clinical expertise. Other than this, pharmacy staff has been trained to be compassionate and to guide and support customers who come in. The team sincerely believes that true excellence goes beyond the call of immediate duty. HERD Pharmacy is therefore intent on seeing its brand image advance and thrive.

Operating three other medical stores in different locations in the city, the team is well aware that everything depends on exceptional customer service. And so the staff is trained to provide outstanding service to attract people to become regular customers. Undoubtedly personal attention and a supportive attitude is just the way to increase sales at the pharmacy. Every day the personnel is motivated to question themselves as to what it is that they can do better to enhance the customer experience.

Supervised by senior managers, the interns and new staff are regularly inspired to perform their best. Gaining direct feedback helps managers implement the needed changes that are required. HERD pharmacy will in time transform into more than just a place that sells medicines. The team is already providing convenience products, supplements, health food, health products and Ayurveda medications at the store.

The attempt now is to focus on integrating marketing techniques to create tailor-made sales strategies work out for the target population. In so doing they are concentrating on forming stable relationships with patients and customers. The marketing team is looking at past marketing successes in order to develop suitable approaches for Khamla Pharmacy. Knowing full well that healthcare is increasingly becoming consumer-driven, the team is deploying practices to tune into what patients want and desire.

This “MAHA BACHAT MELA” is all set to offer discounts to its growing numbers of valued customers. Discounts are being made available ranging from 5% to 50% for all general health products and cosmetic goods.  HERD Pharmacy Marketing Team understands what the customers want to buy and help them do so. They are not afraid of getting creative to experiment with ideas. This then is just such an event to attract customers, egging them on to buy products of their choice at discounted prices.

HERD Pharmacy – Good Health for All

HERD Foundation

Just Dial to Get Medicine

For HERD Foundation ‘good health for all’ means ensuring that healthcare is within reach for all of us. We make sure that meds needed for maintaining good health get delivered easily to all, especially to the underprivileged and less well-to-do. It is for this reason that we are busy creating a network of HERD Pharmacy stores in nooks and corners of the city, so that health products and services are readily available.

Of course we lay equal stress to continually inspire everyone to take good health care so as to prevent sickness in the first place. But if one does fall sick then they should readily get much needed medicines. HERD Pharmacy is a recent venture that allows people to get ready access to common remedies as well as special medications. Seeing everyone living in optimal condition is the aim and for this we facilitate access to prescription medicines.

The vision is that no person goes without medications for inability to get them immediately. We therefore introduced tele-calling facility and even online requests so that people do not suffer endlessly. With deals, discounts and other facilities we are increasing outreach of pharmacy products. Access to medical products and equipment is part of our effort to facilitate outreach of required tablets or capsules.

HERD Pharmacy is keen to ensure that everyone can buy essential medicines as part of their right to the highest attainable standard of health. This is a well-founded international law. The right to health first emerged as a social right in the World Health Organization (WHO) Constitution in 1946. Subsequently the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948 also assured that medication should be available for all.

The binding International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights of 1966 also confirm this realization that right to health includes access to health facilities, goods and services. HERD Foundation takes this principle of accessibility and availability very seriously. And so we continue creating a network of HERD Pharmacies at strategic spots in the city so that no person may be denied their right to medication.

Queuing Up In Advance

Nagardhan health camp

Nagardhan health camp

The Nagardhan Medical Camp organised by us was a huge success. People had already arrived at the spot waiting patiently on their haunches since 1’0 clock in the afternoon. When our team arrived to set up the logistical arrangements at the venue we were pleasantly surprised to find a motley crew already assembled.

Without much ado the practiced team pitched up a mock hospital set up with ease of habit. We have done such health camps  earlier at Tamaswadi, Parseoni, Parsodi Peth, kerdi, bakhari, ambazari, Kolitmara, sihora, Kachurwahi, Parsodi, Pardi, Nagpur. So setting up the works was no hassle and soon the registrations counters were busy.

HERD Foundation began operations for this free camp in no time. Many people from adjoining villages of the Taluka had also come for the camp. The visitors included plentiful women as is common in our camps.  Also children and the elderly were brought in by family members to get them all checked and given free medicines for their different conditions.

The health camp started at 4:00 pm to continue well over 09: 00 pm at night providing free medical checkups to nearly 2400 registered people. An important feature of the camp was that besides active medical treatment it emphasised on the importance of proper hygiene and prevention measures especially in the ongoing monsoon season.

Eight medical departments of NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital with a team of doctors, interns, nurses and attendants provided support to examine and treat the people. The medical and paramedical team of Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Dental and ENT Departments attended to patients who were mobilized from the localized villages around Nagardhan.

The camp was privileged by the presence of HERD Foundation founder Dr. Amol Deshmukh who along with field staff had organized the entire arrangements to make it such an overwhelming success. HERD Foundation’s chief social objective is medical relief for poor and needy. Dr. Amol Deshmukh continues to play a key role and in contributing for the medical welfare of people through provision of active medical treatment. He is a strong advocate for weaker sections to gain access to medical care, particularly those living in such remote rural areas.
